Goldberg, Leah
(1911 -70)
   Israeli Hebrew poet and critic. She was born in Konigsberg and lived in Russia until after the Revolution, when she settled in Kovno, Lithuania. In 1935 she emigrated to Tel Aviv. In 1952 she was invited to organize the Department of Comparative Literature at the Hebrew University, where she became a professor. She published poetry, literary criticism, transla-tions, children's works, a novel and a play.
